absolutely positively correct. TLAB will be history in two yrs, imo without going into DWDM and especially IP/ATM direct over WDM such as Metro OC-192.

If everyone is saying such thing, then tlab probably already realized that long time ago and is doing something about it. There are many ways for tlab to get cien's dwdm without the "costly" merger.
