I'm happy you are still have not given up on your thinking, the more you post the same line the more people will not be scared of your posting. Sort a like the boy who cried wolf. I have ??? will you come back to the thread and admit that you were wrong after your line of thinking does not come true?

Re: Fair value?

Dell's value is what it is trading at right now? You can buy it or sell it right now at 63.5. Tons of stocks are trading way above 5-10x earnings. Tons of investors find them a good value. Value is a relative thing. One mans junk is another mans treasure.

Oopps!! Make that 64.25. Aw man what a rip off!

OT LT: I'm sure that someone has asked you this before but, surely the internet stocks are more highly valued? Or is the future revenue growth potential so much higher. Even if this were the case though, when the US goes into recession, then those with the put LEAPS in YHOO, etc. would do better than those with put LEAPs in DELL (IMO).
Are you looking at the internet stocks? With your take on the world economy don't they look like a much better bet?

Your points are good, but Dell's future is probably more related to the infancy of the PC technology and the PC market and the future technology improvements and market growth. Dell also proves day in and day out that they know how to market PC's and serve customers.

Fair value is around 5 to 10x earnings
From this I gather you believe Dell has quit growing and will in fact contract (as five times earnings implies a growth rate less than a money market fund). Boy! are you in for a suprize.

Luc, can you give us an example of a company that was like Dell, at one time or another, that has succumbed the fate you prescribe for Dell?

Give it your best shot, because I will try to debunk your theory.
