Intel Corp To Invest $20M In At Home Nederland
Dow Jones Newswires

NEW YORK -- Intel Corp. (INTC) signed a letter of intent to invest $20 million in At Home Nederland.

At Home Nederland is a joint venture owned by At Home Corp.'s (ATHM) At Home Network and Dutch cable operators CasTel and Palet Kabelcom.

In a press release Wednesday, Intel said in the proposed limited partnership with At Home, it will make the investment to help speed the deployment of broadband services in the region.

As part of the investment, Intel will collaborate with At Home and its Dutch cable affiliates on technology and marketing initiatives to increase the delivery of At Home services to CasTel's and Palet's combined 1.4 million households, representing more than 20% of Dutch homes.

At Home Network distributes high-speed interactive services to residences and businesses.
