But to say that DELL's business is just PCs is absurd.

LT, while I do not want to argue details about servers etc., as I understand your point, I think that we will eventually get to a stage where we will have hundreds of different types of information devices that will connect to a home network or the internet. The back bone of all this will be very powerful servers plus, of course, the networking infrastructure (LU, CSCO, etc). If the client PC goes the way of the C64 (great little machine for its day, and the Amiga was even better relative to its time), companies like DELL will be OK due to the fact that the servers will need to be so much more powerful or diversified or both. DELL,GTW, CPQ etc may eventually have to exit the consumer market to make way for Sony and its ilk, but the server market will be even bigger.
