I2,

1. I believe that you corrected my "quick glance" erroneous assessment of the MTSN's earnings report. Thank you.

2. I've listened to the conference call but still haven't read the earnings release.

3. Ugly stuff: the financials, the sales. i.e. everything looking backward.

4. Encouraging stuff: $5M is almost in the bag for 4Q before a single sale is recorded. (Sale to S. Korea where MTSN chose not to realize revenue prior to Cash being In Hand.) This came out of the response to Gus Richard's question from H&Q.

RTP sale to Hitachi. Being a multiple unit order, this implies that evaluation has been successfully completed and that MTSN has its first RTP for production line use order. With a little luck, the RTP tool will be atleast as successful as the Strip tool.

CVD sales continuing. MTSN seems to be taking maximum advantage of the downturn to get its products evaluated. This may or may not lead to subsequent sales.

My overall impression: MTSN remains a high risk, speculative play. With the RTP sale, risk has been reduced somewhat. Potential for large %age gains during the next up cycle is still in tact in my opinion.

Ian

Disclosure: I now own more than twice as many MTSN shares as I did a month ago.
