Intel's profits are INCREASING

Good point. INTC is now trading only 10% below it's price from the summer of 1997.

Our AMD is now up 15% from when we purchased it three weeks ago.

Paul,

Celeron based PCs are becoming the dominant retail PC. For a reason. They offer MUCH BETTER PERFORMANCE than the K6-2 which has a slow, fixed L2 cache speed.

I did some research on this and found a quote from a noted authority on the subject. You might recognize the remark.

K6-2 supports larger L2 caches - 512K or 1 Meg. Celeron has a fixed 128 K.
