AMZN: Yes earnings are not important. Let's build a business first. Did you notice that the direct costs are growing with the same pace as the earnings. Not only the 3Q earnings reached a level seen 2 quarters ahead. Is there any possibility to validate the revenue numbers, ie prove that there is not just hot air sold and bought over the net, making up for nice figures in AMZNs 10Qs. Just my thoughts. AMZN was strong after hours, after it briefly touched 114 at the beginning, it went back to 119.

AMZN stated for the record that earnings are not important My thought here is if the company can grow revenues 306% over the comparable quarter last year, what is it going to take for this company to emerge into major profitability? Revenues can only take you so far, and at some time they are going to have to take some percentage of those revenues down to the bottom line. When is anybody's guess. MT
