Jan, today was just the tip of the ice-berg. <MARKET ALERT from The Wall Street Journal Interactive Edition. Oct. 28, 1998 U.S. regulators filed securities fraud charges against 44 individuals and companies, accusing them of using the Internet to improperly promote stocks. Some failed to disclose compensation agreements, while others posted false information, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said.
