Use Output to MS module on your nightly scan lists directing them to any single VMS directory. New selections will be appended rather than auto cleaned as w/ processMS function. This was my obliged method in R1 and I believe it still works that way in R2. Once over 255 there might be some duplication in lower subdirectories, but repeats are passed over (just updated) for anything < that #. And will save disk space but requires a bit more active manipulation.

I like Andy's loop idea. Most of the prospects start stinkin' after a couple weeks anyway. FIFO makes sense.

I am sure there is a way around this problem- One long way would be to make a massive scan of all your scans- I cna try it if you send me by email the scans you wish to merge. The benefit of this is that on day 10 or whatever day you choose- all the old picks will fall off and be replaced by today's picks. I think we can do it- although I am not the best of programmers.
