I have another question for you then. You say that you do mostly bear credit spreads. I understand why individual investors opt for a credit spread instead of a debit spread, but (sorry -- infected from you know who) according to McMillan there's decided advantage with the bear debit spreads -- usually more profitable on an early close out if the stock moves in the desired direction. I forget the reasoning, but when I read it, it seemed sound.

The debit is a disadvantage to be sure -- especially if you're living on the edge, but if you are right about the direction early on ...
