Off Topic - re roth iras

I want to set up a roth IRA, was thinking about
doing it with SURETRADE - their website
says they charge $8 per trade plus 1 cent for
each share over 5,000-- and Kiplingers recently
gave them the highest marks for their ira fees.

does this really mean that if I buy a stock selling
for 3 cent per share (like NPEC) they charge me an extra
cent per share or like MDIN 12 cent per share I
have to add that penny. That's quite a mark up
in addition to the spread...

I seem to be paying a flat rate with my current broker
regardless of the number of shares but

I don't really don't want to set this up with my them
because I have to phone these orders in....
I swear that I can hear them laughing in the
background every time I
place an order for this stock....its getting embarassing LOL
