the bonds were sold to institutional investors on 6/23/98. it was issued under rule 144a. bonds are held by mutual funds(junk and convert) and some convertible hedge funds and i'm sure prudential still owns more than they'd like(they were the underwriter). the company is in the process of registering the bonds. but they will only trade among the above mentioned institutions. i doubt if they will ever find their way into a individual's personal account
