Sonki. I knew I would take a gamble going into TBR while everything is so volatile. I can't remember where I got the misinformation that the IMF would give 15 Bill. to Brazil today after Brazil announced their new plan to stabilize their economy. I guess big investors are still waiting for the whole package to pass the Brazilian Congress which will probably not be very easy. It's always hard to get something accomplished when GOV employees have to take a hit. Brazil is still vowing not to devaluate their currency. There was a lot of decent talk tonight about how good that plan is so maybe TBR will go up again tomorrow.

I heard, after the market closed, that the Brazilian GOV supposedly was a big buyer in TBR this morning in order to hold it up or maybe it was the stock market in general. That would be a la Hong Kong style. The GOV supposedly holds about 20% of the stocks there. Hm. The thought is that at least the shorts can't do too much damage that way. In HK that is. I am sure Brazil is not holding 20% of their stock market. Maybe they will be using the IMF money to buy back TBR. Just kidding.

Like I said: There is a lot of talk that Brazil is making good moves but I guess the big guys are not buying yet. Foreign money supposedly has fled the country and Brazilian money is starting to do the same. Let's hope not or we can buy more TBR cheaper. All this is talk. The Banks liked Brazil's move to stabilize things in Brazil.

I looked that financial sheet over. It does not look bad. I am sure you will be alright especially since WCOM is an investor in it.
And WCOM did alright today. Anytime you have to make changes in accounting the street does not like it too much.

Luckily it did not make a diff. to AOL. At least I made enough in that to off-set my loss in TBR.

My, this thread is really in the ICU. You never did get an answer from Margaret and I noticed that Frank is roaming the Dell thread. gg.
