The thread, and therefore, most of the story is gone. A link which provides a few sketchy remnants of the matter is available. Although the story is a bit "flowery", the basic point is that Dave Wood was a crooked promoter posting on SI. The Chicken called him on it. Dave didn't like it.

Typical of crooked promoters posting on SI, he tells you to buy as much as you can in "this opportunity of a lifetime"&#151it's going to double as soon as the company gets its NASDAQ listing, good news is just around the corner, and any company woes are the fault of short-selling MMs, not the inept company management. When rational questions are asked, the promoter gets grumpy&#151often opening with, "You must be a basher or a short-seller&#133" Afterwards, both shills and sheep get angry, making threats and insults against the anybody who dares to think. Whilst the share price goes to hell, the truth about the company and its touts eventually comes to light&#151but not until several months have seperated you from your money.
