I'm sorry, when I said it was equivalent to a P90 I was talking about the emulation of windows. The Native solaris stuff is really fast. The emulation is like being on a slow PC. To do emulation takes a lot of horsepower, so this is saying a lot. Also, we did no benchmarks, or anything. This is just an impression from using Word once in a while. I'm sure Sun has some benchmarks and can tell you more than I can.

I went to Sun's website and searched on softwindows and many articles came back, but I didn't see any benchmarks right off the bat.

Also, you may want to look at Applixware applixware.com It imports/exports excel files and since it will be Unix Native it should be pretty fast. I use it on Linux and like it.
