if its any consolation

skippy worked in a blazing 1:10 two days ago at belmont, galloped out 7 panels in 1:23 and change, came back not even willing to blow out a match if your questioning his fitness. i think that puts it to rest, he has one more workout sunday morning and then vans to ky, he has been fighting swollen legs most of his career, he did look like a tired horse in the gold cup though. the race is really setting up huge right now, skippy, silver charm, touch gold, awesome again, wagon limit (doing a rain dance), swain (huge european invader, why not one of the turf races?), hopefully gentleman, running stag, and coronados quest. seems the only one missing is free house. right now, off the record, i really like the way touch gold is coming up to this race. more on this when i get the form this week.
on a side note, step charger goes in the fifth today at aqueduct though i think a mile is too short for him to close into, im going to play him solo if i can get 10 to 1 or better and hope a grueling speed duel develops.
