Especially when they read the history that is recorded about all the previous saviors and find there is nothing new except historicising the story with a new religion.> Well, Sam, I don't feel that way, and I consider myself a freethinker. I mean, I do read the history that is recorded about all the previous saviors and find there is nothing new about Christ, EXCEPT that he himself was not a Christian, just as the Buddha was not a Buddhist when he was alive. The mythologies grew up after these prophets were alive, and neither of them had any control over the mythologies. But because they both struck so many with their wisdom, I do think it is important, for me at least, to go back and try to somehow sort out the essence of their wisdom, and that definitely elevates Christ from the other saviors, for example.
