The Halt I am referring to is nothing more than a delay between the announcement of a deal and the passing of the deal by a shareholders vote. I am not referring to anything, in this instance, that would pertain to an investigation. The exchange indicated that if a transaction(s) of this magnitude and with this far reaching an impact, on the nature of the stock, were to be executed that they would likely request a halt while the deal(s) was/were finalized (shareholder and exchange approval), to minimize the speculative trading action and to limit anyones ability to sell into the hype of the deal even if it doesn't wind up coming about.

I hope this helps to clarify.

Salut,
Leigh McBain

PS - the company is not under any obligation to make public anything other than material changes and regular financial statements. The only way the exchange will get involved is if the trading patterns start to indicate some form of insider trading based on non-public information or if the company announces plans to make some form of a significant change. Outside of that, I agree, that we should continue to ask/probe for as much information as possible, but I have not seen anything as of yet that would constitute a reason for the exchange to take any action.

Just my opinions, mind you.
