tc: Watch for intra-day H&S patterns on the indices. I would not even consider volume on these. It will give you an idea of how traders will play these patterns during the day. Quite often, the intra-day patterns work very nicely.

Also go back to the end of January 1998 on the various indices. There were a variety of ascending triangles on major indices then. I think some also had symmetrical triangles before the breakout.
