Will there be much of a difference between the two or are they pretty much the same thing?

I have a couple Couriers and they are simply the best modems made hands down. Never owned an internal Courier but I would think they are identical, the internal simply not having a case. Personally I would go for the External but that is because I have been down lately on software drivers. But if your modem drivers are not causing any problems now I doubt the Courier will. You pay more but then Porsche's cost more than Camry's, Couriers are the state of the art.

Good luck Jeff

Oh WOW...I could have had a V. Everything, but didn't. I have switched from an int. to an ext. modem to free up the slot in my pc. The cords are a pain to some degree, I think there are two additional cords...a power cord and a serial cable. Everything else is the same. As far as I can tell so is the driver and software. Another problem I find with an ext. is that I forget to turn it on sometimes, and the damned red lights which mean ziltch to me other than it's been turned on. It's a USR Sportster ext. voice and has eight red lights...ah it's nice around Christmas. If you got USB...get one of them, leave it on all the time and hide it behind the PC. <gg>

Remember you said...."Any input on this would be greatly appreciated."
