"With a "swing" stock such as Amzn, buying puts can be very profitable at the right time. (buying calls can be profitable at the right time too.) " The right time is to buy around major events, like earnings. Without the split effect Scamazon will start falling. The beauty of it is even with a split Scamazon will fall, only from a higher price but at a greater rate. So you buy puts again and you would still make enough to cover the loss from your initial puts purchase. Remember the key is that Scamazon swings wildly which is why this works. It wouldn't work on a lesser moving stock, even though puts would be cheaper.
