It will be interesting to see how the street reacts today to what we feel is a positive development.

I think Dr. Markman feels your love. Platonically, of course. Even more importantly, I think he feels the pain as well. He has a lot to gain if he plays his cards right, and he also strikes me as a guy "who cares".

Seconds Out.

I agree that the divestiture is a very positive move from the standpoint of focusing the company's resources and energies on Portico.

Do any of you think this move is in preparation for being acquired? Whittling down the company to the essential core business makes them more attractive to suitors. The current market cap is 174 million, which is chump change to the bigger players.

Seconds Out, I agree with your assessment that times have changed for the unified messaging market, and everyone is in a hurry to be a player. LU, MSFT, LHSPF, and the Telcos (and probably Yahoo) don't want to be left behind, and they're all doing their 'make vs buy' analysis. I'm certain that those who have determined that 'buy' is their best option have Dr. Markman's phone # written on a sticky somewhere close at hand.

I'd be interested in hearing your opinions on whether or not you think GMGC should stay independent or be acquired.

Best Regards,

Drew
