Was the deceleration in growth in their core American book sales discussed in this

Does it make sense to subtract out the sales in Europe? They are sales no matter where they come from. Book sales momentum is slowing significantly but the company has made a case that they can expand sales into other categories of products. They haven't shown that they can make money but that won't be the issue until further out in the game. As much as I doubt the wisdom of their plan of buying sales at large losses, they grew faster than expected. Of course, the expectations were only for about 7% growth rate. For the next couple of quarters the stock has some wind at its's back. I still think the stock is grossly over-priced, but I now think it will probably test the highs at 130-140 if not move higher by the 1st quarter of next year. Sales this fall/Christmas quarter will likely show a strong increase due to the continuance of sales momentum and the seasonally strong period. European sales, mushrooming of payables and other factors conspire to make the numbers look skewed upward. That will continue at least through this qtr.

I wouldn't be caught short holding Amazon shares.
