On December 2 and 3 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C., "Government Video" and "Videography" magazines will be sponsoring the first annual Government Video Technology Expo & Conference. The Expo's objective is to serve as the premiere professional video production showcase for audio/visual professionals in the public service. A three-track conference targeted to videographers, producers, directors, editors and other professionals will cover areas including video production, distance education, security, surveillance, law enforcement, multimedia, training, video conferencing, high definition television, DVD, and presentation technologies.

The GV Expo's Digital Technologies track focuses on the recent advancements made in audio and video technology. The Manufacturers' Showcase track consists of three special half-day presentations by some of the most respected names in the industry including Sony, Panasonic, JVC, AMPEX, Ikegami, and Sonic Solutions who will be demonstrating to users what it is that makes their equipment stand out. This track is by invitation only. Sessions include: Digital Tape and Acquisition Formats; Nonlinear Editing; and DVD Authoring. Hal, While I have to agree with your sentiment <<Despite the substance of these earnings, and to my eyes they are indeed very poor>>, I didn't have to look very far for an omen of good things to come; Reuters referred to our company as "Latex Corp" in the earnings release, so it must be a "safe" investment!
