bluejeans: That may be true, but I think the attitude in the past was that the internet was somehow "special", and anything goes.
I believe that if that was true, it is rapidly becoming a dangerous way to think.
I believe that the recent actions of the SEC,
(and I think that everyone will see a lot more of the same from them sooner than people think)
is just the first "shot over the bow".

I have a feeling that there are some people on these chat boards that may find themselves in a situation that they are not going to like.
(not "pro's" but just plain old posters)

But what do I know... maybe it's just wishful thinking.

I think that most people that post false information do not know the difference. Most of the ones that "fuel" the fire have been influenced by stock promoters and get excited about a company. A very hard lesson to learn. It is about time these scum bags get busted. However, once again I preach the importance of a broker. Trades for $5 bucks is great but the risk goes up.
