how will this winn affect LU stock??

A quick glance at Arris Interactive's web site:
arris-i.com

reveals their system is focused on the head-end and involves the HFC from head to user premise. The AT&T announcement would appear to benefit Nortel more than LU:

The HDT utilizes the technology of AccessNode, Nortel Networks fiber access vehicle for residential and business applications. AccessNode has over 3,500 ABM Network Elements deployed. There are over 400,000 lines shipped to over 87 customers in North America, Asia Pacific and the Caribbean. Cornerstone also leverages Nortel Networks' 20-year heritage and global leadership in digital line card technology, with over 100 million line cards shipped.

However, if Lucent should decide to focus on the customer premise units, then there would be tremendous synergies. I don't know LU's position in that market right now.

The announcement certainly strengthens AT&T's thrust into cable to reach the local markets.
