So Gary, What does your statement have to do with anything?

<<Y2K is a much bigger problem than most of us think it is. That is the main reason why DELL migrating from NOVL to MSFT >>

Are you saying that NOVL is not Y2K compliant, But MSFT is so There you have it? What a bunch of dribble.. Is Bill there spoon feeding you this nonsense you have been writing here for the last few weeks, or are you able to come up with this BI-assed stuff all by yourself?

Gary,

How stupid do you think we are? Y2K is a big problem and we all know that. But that has NOTHING to do with Dell's decision to migrate from NetWare to NT!!!

NetWare 3.x and 4.x code is Y2K compliant with a simple patch to the system. Please explain to me why a company with such a large infrastructure of NetWare servers would get into such a HUGE HUGE migration project to solve the Y2K issue when all they had to do is patch their current systems?

Dell is not crazy at all. The problem is that no one really knows what true political reasons are behind Dell's decision to migrate from NetWare to NT. It has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE Y2K ISSUE! Get that fact straight right here and now.

Where are your clothes? Internet citizens smell a fraud 10,000 miles away. You have contributed NOTHING to this thread. You have shown a complete and total lack of awareness concerning basic technology facts and issues.

You might try going back to community college. Check out their courses on the Internet and network operating systems. Then come back and enter the fray.

If you are planning to defend Microsoft on the Novell board you are wasting your time. The entertainment value isn't even there.

I visited Microsoft's board on SI recently and was surprised by the lack of teeth and backbone. Go back and help Bill led the rally of worldwide IS/IT/OS troops into the NT 5.0 - er Windows 2000 - tar pits.

May your remains be preserved for future generations to galk at. Sort of like the followers of Jim Jones. What were these guys thinking as Internet Wave 2 was gathering strength.

Open up the enterprise systems folks. The race for leadership is on and Novell can help companies better than any OS/NOS/Directory vendor.
