Based on info from NASDAQ the Short Position as of 15 Oct 98 for INFOSEEK

Short Position : 4,637,006
Avg. Daily Vol. : 2,756,650
Days to Cover : 1.68

I wonder if the latest runup was as a result of shorts and no new money was coming in long term. Also, Where were all these guy's earlier when the Disney Deal was announced. Did not notice any upgrades at that time. Wondering if someone is trying to offload some shares ???

Good Luck,

Infoseek (SEEK) due to release earnings after the close... Stock expected to lose $0.06 v. year ago loss of $0.17... Look for company to post narrower than expected loss and move modestly higher as it remains one of the "cheaper" net plays.
