I was afraid that might be the answer... What is the MetaStock Mailing List? Not to sound catty... but it's a mailing list for people interested in Metastock and issues surrounding same. These instructions are as of when I joined; I don't think it has, but it could have changed since then. Send an email to majordomo@freeze.metastock.com with a BODY (NOT subject) of: subscribe metastock PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, don't subscribe if you aren't able to handle the volume of 10-100 messages a day. Also, if you DO subscribe, please save the unsubscribe instructions. Nothing is more irritating to list members than to read "unsubscribe" requests, particularly when the instructions are sent to everyone when they subscribe. Thanks!

Ah-hah... A new answer for the SP4 dilemma from the Metastock mailing list: The problem is being caused by the Service Pack changing some of our registry entries. There is a one time fix you may run to alleviate this problem. Start The DownLoader by holding Cntrl-Shift when you launch the program. Answer Yes when asked about deleting the registry entries. Go to Tools\|Vendor Options and reenter the vendor information, i.e. your password. The problem should not appear again.
