He wasn't talking down the stock. He was discussing the situation the company was in earlier this year (when the stock was jumping up to $15/share) and pointing out that, at that time, the very existence of the company was in jepoardy due to lack of capital.

He never once mentioned stock price or discussed the current valuation of the company. He knows Wall Street is not exactly pleased with the company but at this point in time, when the company has just avoided bankrupcy while finally getting a product that the company can make money off of to market, he has been more concerned with building the company so that your shares don't decline to zero.

You may be right that he doesn't know how to run a stock but he seems to be able to dash false expectations so that shareholders don't delude themselves that this company is the next Worldcom.
