CORSICANA, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 29, 1998--Midway Home
Entertainment Inc., a subsidiary of Midway Games Inc. (NYSE: MWY), today
announced that it has opened an online store on its Web site, www.midway.com,
allowing consumers to purchase Midway's most recent and popular titles over
the Internet.

Digital River (Nasdaq: DRIV), the leading provider of electronic commerce
outsourcing for Internet software sales, will be Midway's online distribution
partner. Currently, NFL(R) Blitz(tm), Mortal Kombat(R) 4, GEX(64): Enter the
Gecko and Rampage World Tour(tm) on multiple platforms are available for
purchase at the site. Midway's entire fall 1998 lineup will be offered by
Christmas, followed by a more extensive catalog into 1999.

Exploiting the growing e-tail distribution movement, Midway has opened
its online store to expand its consumer reach, continue establishing its
online community and generate repeat online sales by offering special premiums
with every purchase. Midway plans to expand its online catalog to include hits
such as San Francisco Rush(tm): Extreme Racing, Mortal Kombat(R) Trilogy, NBA
Hangtime as well as classic compilations featuring Asteroids(R), Centipede(R),
Paperboy(R), Defender(R) and Joust(R).
