Re: NASDAQ top

It makes sense to sell if we're traders, but what about investors?

Thanks for the support! To be honest, I have been really lazy with my postings lately because they take a lot of effort. I'm in and out of positions all the time, and I found it quite laborious. With respect to DELL, I've been largely out since the high $50's and I'm watching in awe as it attempts to retest its old highs. I have a small position bought at $59-1/2 with a simultaneous covered call of Nov65s at $$2. Figured that I'd be happy being taken out at the equivalent of $67.

Can't wait to re-establish a more sizable core holding of DELL at lower levels.

But I believe that the overall trend of the general mkt for 1999 will be at best just sideways. Therefore, it's all the more important to be able to spot significant turning points and inflection points to put on trades which provide more rewards relative to the risks.

At this moment, DELL is making an inverted hammer formation which is supposed to signal a short-term top. However, I've got to hit the sack soon (AM2:00 now) and these candlesticks can change in a flash, so I won't put too much credence into this...
