Hi Mike & Thanks Ron.....This might be a confession of ignorance.....I do not pretend to understand all that is going on but at the risk of thinking out loud:

(1) It is a reasonable assumption that the MIQ/Kinross venture will produce a shallow, low cost mine.

(2) The name of the game seems to be JV, JV, takeover, takeover, buyout, buyout.

For some strange reason, it seems like after "someone" finds more than a sixpac of Gold etc, that "ownership" ends up in the hands of a "Major"..... That's what makes them a major.....

I just have a feeling that JS (for one) can "play" in the big league.....and the patient shareholder can, MAYBE, end up owning a brand new pick-up truck :-)]]]]]
