[OT] The current proposal for a manned mission to Mars calls for a
stay of one year, according to a PBS program last night. It would be
done in the first half of the next century. Current propulsion is good
enough to do the job now. First, the international space station must
be built.

I think that if we go to Mars, we need to do it in such a way that
we stay there and not just go there a half dozen times and walk away.
