o you have numbers to back this up?

I think that it is hard to back opinions up with numbers. If I could, I guess it would be a fact rather than an opinion. If you are asking for numbers regarding the number of apps currently available, no I don't have any. I was referring to standard, everyone-uses-it apps like Quicken and Office

As a former software development director, I had virtually no demand for my applications to be done in Linux. None!

Well, guess that depends on 1.) when you were a director (I mentioned that it is growing swiftly) and 2.) what sort of software development (would it make sense to use Linux with the app, IOW).

Look, I am not pretending an expert on this field. My comments were explicitly (I think) opinionated. To tell you the truth, I think that your view on where Linux is going is probably more correct than saying that it is the next Windows. I just like to get caught up in the spirit ;o)

Sorry again thread. Back to Cisco....

Nasdaq up 20+, and csco really had a hard time; csco down almost 1 to 2$ most of the day and still was down at the close. Maybe another downgrade coming.
