Re: Y2K, Yardeni.

For those of you who used to love the sitcom “Barney Miller”, (some of the best TV writing of all time, IMO) you may remember an episode where they arrested a religious wacko who was predicting that the world would end at midnight. As he was walking out of the 12th precinct jail after midnight had passed, someone pointed out to him that the world hadn't ended. His response? “And you thought that prayer wouldn't help”. I suspect we will get the same credit taking after Jan. 1, 2000 comes and goes without serious consequence. I can hear just Yardeni taking credit for giving us ample forewarning to prevent the apocalypse. It will be ludicrous, but it will also be entertaining. What theatre!
