Reason to hold this dog... From a Gartner Report. I am not allowed to forward the full text but the headline is good enough. This is why I am holding. Joe Preparing Europe's IS systems for European monetary union (EMU) is likely to cost between $150 billion and $400 billion. The cost is huge because of IT changes for technical compliance and changes to business strategies because the euro is not "just another currency." All organizations in, or trading with, Europe must consider the business and technical impact of monetary union - and implement the necessary IS changes to prepare for it.
