Ken,

<<What if they are simply naked shorts, by whomever, making the wrong call ? If this is the case, wouldn't there be a squeeze of Biblical proportions on any reasonable upward movement?>>

Undoubtedly, but that is what worries me. If whoever is shorting ANCR continues to short, despite what we perceive as an improving situation, what is their end game? Do they know something we don't, or do they control enough shares that they can force the price down, or is it simply that they have enough unconverted shares that they aren't worried what the price does? I don't have the answers, and that makes me nervous.

Craig

Ken,

That is exactly why these can't be naked shorts. As far as I am concerned, given the rate of dilution and conversion - the only mechanism that makes sense is the shorting mechanism we have been discussing. The only other possible shorts would have to be someone who can short the stock outside of a qualified margin account and put up collateral similar to the Reg D prospectus. Is there anybody else out there like that? Are we really supposed to believe that there are a group of qualified investors out there who are waiting for something to happen with their money - like the rest of us longs have been for the past two years?

All I can say is that my momma didn't tell me about shorting and converting, but other than that she didn't raise a fool.
