Hi Sun!

Sorry all, I'm still stuck on this set-top box thing. Here's
and interview with the CEO of Broadcom:

upside.com

Taken somewhat out of context, this is the quote that is
important for 3Dfx,

"When will we be able to get settop boxes for $300? You can get a basic cable box now for less than $300. The key is to get full-featured boxes down to that point. We're putting 3D graphics into our technology. It won't be the high-end graphics that change technology every three months, but you want to have some fairly reasonable interactive game-playing technology available on the settops. We're going to be enabling that, as well as telephony."

I like that this guy is admitting upfront that they are going to enable the graphics, not be the leader. It's going to be interesting
to see how fast this market takes off and who gets a piece of it.

Anyone care to comment how important the interactive gaming
market will be going forward? Will this be the largest sector
of growth, or traditional PC games? I'm not a gamer and don't
have a feel for this.

Sun, these 1000 share increments: are you trying to get a seat
on the board or what? Maybe we should start a write-in campaign
for ya!
