Dell is waiting at the station for some jet fuel.

>>>Does anyone have any idea why DELL is demonstrating such lacluster performance today?<<<

IMO... it is a combination of profit taking from yesterday's $2+ gain and the announcement of the price cuts... Street always seems to react this way to price cut announcements... e.g. Intel's chip price cuts... but then a few days later people seem to wise up and realize that price cuts are an excellent way to move inventory, maintain market share, beat the competition, etc... and the stock moves up...

Regards...

JD

What price weakness?? I don't see anything lackluster about it.

David:

Let us look at this way, you see any weakness, naaah I didn't think so.<g>

It can't possibly keep going up everyday as you know.

lacluster performance
It has been mentioned that the Nasdaq is waiting at it's 200 Day Average, the Nas 100 is at it's old high. The market is ready to go up fast or drop back down. No one, it seems, wants to make the first move.

TP

( Such times are a great opportunity to determine stocks that about to make a move on their own. Just look for stocks that are showing uncharacteristic volume without a good explanation. That can be a sign of accumulation or short covering which in more active days would be hidden by the hustle and bustle. I'm personally gambling that TDFX fits this pattern).

I know what you mean. I've been comparing it with GTW, HWP, IBM, etc and was a little surprised myself. The after hours trading looks pretty good, a lot of 64 15/16 and 65's going by.

P.S. What's a POONT ;-)
