Mr. Stan Lis reports
Following the successful judgment of Jan. 20, 1998 and the lengthy efforts to have the Thermo Tech Technologies and Thermo Tech Waste Systems (the Thermo Tech companies) comply with the order of the court (including two applications for contempt), Trooper Technologies is now in receipt of a large volume of specifications and drawings which, it is hoped, will permit Trooper Technologies to carry out its projects with all due dispatch.
At present, Trooper's advisers are reviewing this documentation for completeness. However, the delivery of these materials, though long overdue, is a significant step forward for Trooper.
Naturally, there remains to be resolved the issue of damages suffered by Trooper by virtue of the wrongs inflicted upon it by the Thermo Tech companies under their present management. Trooper has engaged the forensic accounting firm of Lindquist Avey to assess these damages. A preliminary estimate is in the range of $50,000,000 (U.S.) to $55,000,000 (U.S.).
Trooper is hopeful that the delivery of the specifications and drawings signifies that it may expect a more responsible attitude from Thermo Tech management than has been shown in the past by the present board and that all issues between Trooper and the Thermo Tech companies can be resolved amicably in dealings with the future management.
