*o.t. John, Your points are well taken. After reading your comments I went back and read the article again. You're right when you said "His statement had more to do with the direction of computing, with data residing on networks, accessible via PC's and cheaper appliances..." As for his view vs mine there's no doubt about it he's on the top of the IBM mountain and I'm standing on another but (there's always a "but" isn't there) I still have a distaste for how they are targeting the elderly and the young with a unit which will have above normal hidden costs. I may just be a little too sensitive to that aspect of the business which doesn't give a rip what I think anyway. Have a good evening...I'm outta' here for the night. T.R.
