I think I saw where that FLW gas station has been demolished. Last time I stopped there was 19 and 82.

Also a real neat old wooden bridge in the area. Several 100's of yards long. Cars run on the lower level and trains on the top.

For several years I was a subscriber to the Frank Lloyd Wright
Quarterly. The Summer '93 issue has an article on the Lindholm
Service Station is Cloquet, Minnesota. Based on the photo,
I can agree with Ish's recollection that it's unusual looking.
It was built in 1957 when Wright was 90.

The article says that a newspaper ad at the time announced
"a new exciting service station daringly designed by Frank Lloyd
Wright . . . Bring the whole family . . . They'll be amazed at the
sensational cantilevered roof, which hangs out in space with no
visible means of support; and they'll be excited by the view of the
St. Louis River Valley visible from the second story solarium where
customers relax while their cars are being serviced."
