Pigboy,

<<<When you say this, can you be more clear about time frames. Do you see it reaching it's potential within 2 years, 5 years? I guess I would feel better if I had an idea about WHEN Ancor expected inrange to finally be delivering product (ie. and start getting that
2 mill?) What I do feel very good about is that it seems there are VERY FEW players even competing up in this high end world.>>>

I wish I know. By second quarter 1999 we will have a better picture. My guess is it will start as a migration environment(i.e. both ESCON and FC will co-exist) and quickly all new purchases are FC only. I'll say in 2 years, FC will dominate .

<<< I apologize if this has been asked before, but what is the differences between the MKII-8 and something like the Denali switch from gadzoox? >>>

Denali swith only has 3 ports and is expensive. It is not clear if Denali switch would support both private and public loops. Even if it does, it lacks scalability and price competitiveness. It is not in the same league. Ancor is in the driver seat now. I can see all FC vendors wearing a long face including hub makers such as Vixel and G2. Roy, any comments.
