MSFT's browser was "free." So AMZN has gone one step farther. Brilliant! How much is AMZN losing per book sale? That's worse than free and no cash flow from operations to fund it. How long can that go on? MSFT didn't have any debt to repay like AMZN.

In defense of my common sense, which you and Sal insulted, I remind you that I pronounced MSFT's threat to NSCP back when MSIE1.0 was introduced. You on the other hand, disagreed with me.

You and your silver spoon money cashed in on the NSCP IPO or so you say. Where were you when the other suckers bought 167 and then watched it crash to 30-something?

Neither you nor Sal have corner the market on common sense.

B&N and Borders have their stores to fall back on. What does AMZN have? When is it going to generate cash from operations to pay off their debt? Once the bigs start to pile on, look out below.....

The lack of availability of deals in the the junk bond market killed them in August and it will happen again. Next time maybe Greenspan won't save their pitiful butts.
