OTOTOT..The weakness of Linux is the same thing that is it's strength-it is an open system. This probably means that before long it will evolve into mutually incompatible dialects as various people tinker with the underlying code. I think it may be useful,especially in imbedded devices, but I doubt if it is a serious threat to MSFT.

MSFT will be around a long time. That won't stop UNIX types from continuing their hatred of the MSFT operating systems and will continue to spur the development and deployment of LINUX and associated tools. Is this bad for SUNW? That is a good question.

Will it put MSFT out of business, no. But we can keep hoping...
