Michael, On the question of how long to hold a trading stock...

A good person to ask would be Tim Lukes. He has a thread on SI and seems to be very adept at "Position" trading. Do a search with his name you'll find it. PS: he is very good about responding to questions too. Hope this helps. Aloha, Mike.
