There seems to be published benchmark on SPEC web for
Compaq's Alpha 21264.

Thanks, but that was a old article and the prices quoted were for samples.

The prices were old, but were in the same ballpark as Xeon's. Not that you can get a 600 MHz Xeon ;^))
