Gary,

Thanks a lot for the detailed look at your trading strategy. It is pretty typical, actually, and not much different from mine. As I have posted earlier, my dilemma with Dell is that other than when the bid/ask is stalled, Dell tends to run faster than my ability to react and get into the run. I also have a great reluctance to buy above the interim low. So many times it is a great move to buy Dell after it has already moved up a half point off the interim low as it may run a buck or more on occasion. But with the extremely choppy markets we've been seeing, it is often a disaster to buy even a quarter off the interim low, as Dell can stop running and turn around much faster than other stocks due to the extremely heavy volume.

Another response I have to your approach is that I am normally looking for more than an eighth or quarter when I buy. Lately, though, I've begun to feel lucky when I get that!

I have abandoned Dell for the time being and returned to XCIT, my favorite of the past few months. I feel much more comfortable with the volume on XCIT, which normally runs around 4 mill a day.

Thanks again for the insights.

Rick
