I would be comfortable with *zero* premium, given no offerings and the history of the past few, offset by the great success of others. But, since no offerings, then no premium to NAV. Safeguard has to be looked at as a closed-end fund in this situation. And, what you would think you would gain by the private portfolio would only serve to keep the stock from trading at a discount to NAV. In my opinion.

You may be right. Still, I have small children too, but I earn my income from elsewhere than Safeguard. It would be nice if they could go to college....
